Between time and space wasn't born overnight... it was 4 years in the making. That doesn't mean Alain was beating the dough every hour of that time. But to create a true artwork one needs inspiration and that is something you can't command. To rub things in, will give mediocre results. From the songwriting and arranging, recording and mixing to the final process of mastering, every aspect was handled with care, love and dedication.

First lets begin by saying that every song on Between time and space was first written with guitar and voice. Ask any music professional and they will tell you that the only way to tell the quality of a song is to hear it in it's purest state. No bells and whistles, no smoking mirrors, just the guitar and the voice. Today it often works the opposite way. That's why so much music just comes and goes. It is deprived of real feelings and meaning, there is no real life story behind the song. It was just put together, leaving the listener untouched. Why is it, do you think, that such songwriters as Bob Dylan, John Lennon, Paul McCartney, Bob Marley to name but a few, came up with such jems! Because they were writing songs in the real world.

About 50 songs were written before the final 12 made it on Between time and space. For Alain, it was crucial that the songs that made it to the production stage lived together in perfect harmony.

Immobility was the first song to be written for Between time and space. The first lyrics to the song: "somewhere between time and space is where the dreams of bitter men are dying", pretty much describe the mindset Alain was in at the time - one of not letting a life long dream pass him by. The song sets the tone to what was to become an enticing musical collection. One by one, songs that felt right for the project were chosen. From the pop rock U2ish sound of Lucky day to the darker sounding King Crimson - like ambiance of Inside you, from hope to desire to more introspective feelings, the palette of emotions that Between time and space generates is wide and rich.

Sounds great! He's really got a nice production, the overall package, the hole thing sounds good.
