Last December 4th marked the DVD launch of the french canadian tv show "La Galère". I had the honor to actively participate to the creation of the show's soundtrack With Dazmo and I'm real pround of it.

I'm proud to announce my nomination with my collegues from Dazmo Music (Iohann Martin, Sari Dajani, Rudy Toussaint) for a 2007 Gémeaux award. The nomination is for best musical theme for a tv show (La Galère).

The Gémeaux awards celebrate excellence in Canadian French-language television. The event has grown in prominence and stature to become one of the most prestigious cultural events in Quebec. This year marks the 22nd anniversary of the awards.

Starting today if you go see Quebec's own version of "Roméo et Juliette" Directed by Yves Dégagné. You will hear me sing and play guitar on the track "Take me away". The song was created in a collaboration between Alain Pernot, Rudy Toussaint and Iohann Martin in a collective effort named Dazmo, you can also hear Mitsou Gélinas's pretty voice on it. The song is getting great fan review and is already getting radio airplay. You can click here to hear a full version of the song !!!

"Communication" the first radio single release is now on rotation in stations across Canada, While the CD is continuing to amass positive reviews from all over!

Between Time and Space is now on iTunes, so fuel up that iPod!!! The album is also available in 2400 stores worldwide. The MySpace crowd continues to grow everyday, With over 3000 fans, 12 000 page views and 20 000 plays on MySpace. Two fantastic reviews of Between Time and Space have been published, one in a UK and the other in a Norway music Magazine! Read them here.I also started a Review blog on MySpace for fans of the CD...thanks to all of you who took the time to write your thoughts. I uploaded a new video on my site called "Love on the balcony". The video was shot by my friend J.F Porlier who came to visit and spontaneously filmed me...check it out!!!

Since pernotmusic.com unveiled it's new look last month, CD sales have quadrupled!!! The number of daily visits has doubled. On MySpace I've been getting an average of 200 plays a day for a record of over 500 plays on April 13 2006. Next month my Between time and space will be reviewed in a 100 page magazine, that's been published for 15 years in the UK! Radio station ARfm from the UK is now playing my music.(merci Tea lady!) Lucky day was included in Melo's podcast (playlist 21) also in the UK.(merci Melo!)

The list of countries where I've sold CDs now includes: Canada, France, USA, UK, Germany and Norway. I've had very promising talks with different music industry people! I'm planning a show for this summer, I'll keep you posted!

Hello all and welcome to my new site! As you can see things have completely changed around here. The new design and content of the site was created with help from Jean-François Porlier and Nathalie Coulombe of Medialogik, a big thanks guys for your precious help. As you can tell the site is designed to give better exposure to my last CD: Between time and space. Hopefully you will like the new design and that it will make your surfing experience more pleasant. So, here's a little update on what's been going on lately! Last Dec 20 2005, the CD was officially launched, accompanied by a live performance, the evening was a sheer success, thanks again everyone who was there! On Jan 15 2005, John Young an awesome singer/songwriter/solo artist and keyboard player for the Scorpions, Asia, Bonnie Tyler wrote these words on his website: "Alain Pernot from Canada a new find for me but I think you'll agree he's written some excellent songs". Wow! Thanks for that John. On Jan 25 2006, Rhapsody classic rock included Between time and space on top of the top 200 most significant albums of the week and on the cover page as well! Mar 04 2005, Between time and space has now sold copies in Canada, the United States, England and Germany, this thru the internet only! The CD has been getting rave reviews from all over the world, both from fans and music industry professionals. We are now in the process of taking things to another level of promotion and i'll keep you posted with every step!
