Alain Pernot is the soul behind Between time and space. Hailing from the multicultural grounds of Montreal, Alain has been exposed to a vast aray of musical styles.

His songs are deeply inspired by this vibrant city's diverse moods and dynamic pace. The music of Alain Pernot is one that generates feelings of hope and inspiration. His musical style could be qualified as a mix of Pop, Rock and Classic rock. A warning: Alain's melodies are addictive...

Alain's music embraces influences from Seal, Sting, Peter Gabriel, U2, Daniel Bélanger, Sheryl Crow, Kiss and Van Halen without forgetting Canadian rock legend Rush. His music is current, but reminiscent of the great sound of the 70's and 80's.

For Alain Pernot, the recent release of Between time and space opens the door to a new dimension of an already active career as a professional musician. The CD – officially launched last December during a live performance – is already getting rave public reviews. A live show to promote Between time and space is actually in the works.

Since 1996, Alain Pernot has played an important part in many musical projects. As a live and studio musician he has toured Canada, France and Belgium and worked on numerous recordings. Credits include work with Rudeluck, Dorian Sherwood, Mitsou, Petro Guelfucci, Alex Caplin, Elyzabeth Diaga (presently a cast member on the new musical Dracula), to name but a few. He has written music produced by Yves Frulla, resident keyboard player for Celine Dion since 1986 and currently working on Celine's Las Vegas show.  The resulting songs went on to become top 10 hits on Quebec commercial radio stations like CKOI or CKMF.

Between time and space is an important link in that chain of accomplishments. It marks a new phase in Alain Pernot's career, one that unvails his creativity like few have heard it before.

"Between time and space" is among the two best albums i've mastered this past year!
